Mediterranean Shipping Company(MSC) S.A., with head-quarters at Geneva, Switzerland is a privately owned shipping line, founded in 1970, which has rapidly grown from a small conventional ship operator to become the 2nd largest global shipping line in the world.
MSC opened up its own office at Ho Chi Minh in January 2004, since then have its feeders sailing out weekly to pick up cargo for trans-shipment at Singapore & Hong Kong depending on the destinations involved.
MSC Vietnam is part of the MSC South East Asia operation involving 5 countries including Vietnam, others being Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore with the regional office being located at Singapore.
MSC's operations have grown consistently in the region becoming a major force today in the global logistics industry.
The dramatic growth that MSC has seen in the recent years is represented best when from being the 5th largest Liner in the world, MSC's capacity increase of 40% in the year 2002 alone catapulted the company to the 2nd position ! This was largely compiled through a significant injection of vessels of over 6,000 TEU capacity apart from an even spread of increase in services across different destinations in the world.
        With upgradation of services & commitment to quality transport solutions being an ongoing exercise within the MSC organization, the company's main focus today is to consolidate on its position & keep looking at every opportunity to establish itself as the leading independent Shipping line in the world.
